Walk for the Future & Family Fun Day
The Al Rucker Foundation recognizes the dire need to assist parents and students with expenses for higher education and has created programming and initiatives that focus on aiding students to obtain a higher education. “Walk For The Future & Fun Day in the Park” is 5k charity walk/run to support the higher education of Greater Houston area students. The goal is to provide scholarships for up to (4) High School seniors who reside within lower economic areas. Registration can be completed via www.walkforthefuture.eventbrite.com

Social Change Sunday's #Changemakers Edition
Social Change Sunday’s “Changemakers” Edition will highlight various young professionals throughout the Houston community who have an unique philanthropic vision, lead by example, fostered a culture of giving and/or founded a nonprofit organization. Changemakers will unite at Hotel Ylem- a new boutique hotel dedicated to promoting non-profit organizations and providing space for local philanthropically-minded artists on August 8, 2016 5:30pm-8:30pm. Guests will be encouraged to attend in support of their favorite changemaker and/or associated charity to raise monetary funds for their respective causes. The suggested donation is $15 for entry and guests will have the ability to choose who they want to support. A percentage of profits raised will benefit each changemakers current programming. Specialty Cocktails will also be created to represent each of the changemakers causes with an additional profit share per cocktail courtesy of Hotel Ylem.
